Know more about
the project?

Built originally in the 1960s, over the last 3 years the building has undergone a total refurbishment across all 24 floors of the building and Ideal Surfaces have been delighted to be involved with this project over the whole period which is now coming to an end and we have worked across all 24 floors of the building from the ground floor up and have also just completed working on a new 10 storey building immediately behind the iconic Shell Tower.

Our works have involved Reception Desks, Catering Tops, Vanity tops, Tea Points, Copy and Mail Stations and probably most surprising of all, nearly 5 kilometres of Corian Crash Rail! Through meeting rooms, interview rooms and telephone rooms, we have manufactured and installed crash rails on most floors at a dado rail height to protect the walls and fabrics from damage and wear and tear.

In the new build we have again been involved on all 10 floors, this time using Krion solid surface to manufacture crash rails and worktops and level 4 has been devoted to catering, where we have manufactured 5 counters including the main Deli Counter which was over 10 metres long and over 7 metres wide with Krion clad to the top surface and the front faces, there was over 30 sheets of material and 450 hours spent in the factory manufacturing this counter alone.

In total the project has consumed over 450 sheets of Corian, 180 sheets of Krion and over 10,000 hours of labour and has been valued at just over £500,000

What clients say

"Great job thanks. I've done the job for over 30 years but not sold Corian for a long time. It's inspired me to sell in the future so look forward to working with you again". - July 2019
